Data protection

Any personal data collected by the Controller shall be processed pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018.  The Secretariat of the Supervisory Committee (‘the Secretariat’), represented by the Head of the Secretariat, provides administrative and legal assistance to the Controller in fulfilling her tasks and acts as Data Controller for the purpose of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725.

The Secretariat provides online privacy notices to inform all individuals on the handling of personal data of in the framework of the different processing operations, and in particular the handling of complaints. These processing operations are described in a dedicated public register. The register contains information explaining why and how the Secretariat processes personal data. The Data Protection Officer (DPO) maintains this public register.

To exercise your rights under Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 (e.g. to have access to your data, to request rectification or erasure of your data), please contact the Head of Secretariat of the Supervisory Committee.

The Data Protection Officer

To safeguard the independence of OLAF and the confidentiality of its investigation, the Director-General of OLAF designates a Data Protection Officer that is competent for the processing of data by OLAF and the Secretariat of the Supervisory Committee, in accordance with Article 10 paragraph 4 of the OLAF Regulation. The DPO ensures in an independent manner that the Secretariat of the Supervisory Committee correctly applies the rules protecting personal data. The implementation of the function of the DPO is provided in the Decision of the Director-General of OLAF of July 2019, adopting implementing rules concerning the Data Protection Officer.
